About Us

In 1975, Suburban Machine Corporation was created to offer the manufacturing industry a new source of experienced general and precision machining, welding and fabricating, and custom machine building for the packaging industry with in-house mechanical and electrical engineering support. We started as a small operation in Deerfield, Illinois, with just a handful of employees. Over the years we have moved several times to increase the size and staff of our operation to meet the increasing needs of our customers.

​We currently have two locations in Wheeling, Illinois. The main location houses a full service machine shop and machine manufacturing facility with the ability to design and build any machine large or small. Some of the packaging industries we currently specialize in, but are not limited to, are steel, cotton, fiber, brick, and lumber. We have also done work for the vending and food industries.

​Our second location houses our repair depot and tech center. We offer turnkey depot service for repair and exchange of your specialized field serviceable equipment and sub assemblies with preventive, corrective, and reliability centered maintenance. Complete testing of your equipment is also available at our tech center.

 We have been a member, in excellent standing, with the Tool and Manufacturing Association for 35 years. Many of our customers have also been with us for the past 35 years as we have both seen changes in the industry - staying ahead and competitive within it.
